I found a mole on my back, a few months ago. It seemed like an ordinary mole at first. However, it has started to darken, and in some places even turning black. Part of it looks dark brown, whilst the rest remains light brown and slightly inflamed.

I am unsure why this is such a large excision, but the suture line looks good. Typically we review all our excisions with the parents prior to removal. I also remove these with lasers to limit scars especially in children, unless there is concern of cancer. My suggestion is...
Unfortunately your photograph did not upload but in any case its worth going to your GP for an assessment given the length of time the "dot" has been present. If necessary your GP can refer you to a specialist if further treatment is required.
