Answer: Best food for eyelid recovery Great question. You would like to eat a high protein diet to help the healing process. Vitamins and minerals are also important but stay away from vitamin E and fish oil that can cause blood thinning and bleeding. Soft diet can be advantageous the first 24-48 hours.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz

Answer: RICE PORRIDGE MAY BE THE WORST THING YOU CAN EAT In close consultation with many doctors including Barry Sears PhD of the Zone Diet fame, I always insist on my patients be on certain supplements, stop taking many things that are blood thinners (like Omega 3) and are on a low carbohydrate low salt diet. Complex carbohydrates like rice porridge are large molecules that retain fluid, cause more swelling and I think lead to extended bruising. I put all my patients on a Paleo type diet 1 week before and about 2 weeks afterwards.
