I am a year post op and my breast has bottomed out. Is it too early to get a explant? I’d rather just take them out than do a revision. Will mybreast be saggy after explant?
Answer: Removal No, you can remove your implants any time you want. Since you have bottomed out at just a year's time, I suspect you have large heavy implants that have sagged from the weight. Large implants have also stretched your tissue, so yes, there will be sagging. You might consider exchanging these for something also and tighten the lower pockets. do remember, you were not happy with your breasts before implants and may not be happy once removed.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Bottomed out breast, want removal. Is it too early to get an explant at 1 year post-op? Hello Dear @Sociable774846 I appreciate your question. The decision to get the implants remove does not depend on the time of implantation, it depends if the patient feels confortable with the results. It is important to make a surgical plan and in that plan consider the option of breast fat transfer. The best course of action is to consult one or several board certified plastic surgeons for more information and recommendations. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS

Answer: Breast implant removal Hi, thank you for sharing your question. The decision to remove an implant can be made at any time after the surgery and being one year post-op is not too early. You will likely have some sagging along with deflation once the implants are removed.

Answer: Implant removal Dear Sociable774846, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
