Your case is a pretty simple case.  I would simply place two veneers on your front two teeth to make the look perfect.  This would take 1-2 appointments and last you 20+ years before needing to have them redone.  Good luck and I hope this helps. I would you suggest you ask your dentist again to shorten the longer tooth.  It should be a very simple thing to do and cost you nothing.  If they are not willing to do it you might consult another dentist who will.  You look like you are very young.  To do a procedure like veneers seems a bit aggressive and unnecessary if they can make things look the way you like by just removing a bit of tooth structure on that one tooth.  Good luck to you.
