I’m 21, 5’4 and 155 pounds. I am a size 34H and was curious if I would be able to get a breast reduction. I’m active (going to the gym 4-5 times a week, eat healthy, and work on my feet) and healthy, but my breast size really messes with my overall body and lifestyle. Would I have to loose weight to get a breast reduction or am I fine as is?
Answer: Breast Reduction Candidate Thanks for your question. It is not necessary to lose weight for breast reduction unless you are above the surgery BMI requirement. That said, it is recommended for you to be at or around your ideal weight for optimal results. I suggest you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
