I had a Platysmaplasty neck lift 8 months ago. The Doctor did perform liposuction as well. The skin from my jaw down, on both sides, to my collar bone is deep purple and very red. I look like I have extreme rope burn and it feels like it's on fire all the time. I visit my doctor for check ups but he shakes his head and says he doesn't understand why this has happened. Another note: 4 months after surgery, I developed inflamed veins in which he had to drain 3 times. Please advise. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. It is good to hear that you maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a cream regimen. I suggest that you move consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy for non-surgical treatment plans.
Best wishes,
The great majority of patients that come to the office seeking facial rejuvenation all say the same thing - "it happened overnight!" These things don't really happen overnight, but they get to the point the patients start to notice and one they see it, they cannot unnotice it. The changes are ...
You are not unreasonable in what you notice. The key would be a revision with good repositioning of the underlying tissue layers below the skin; and perhaps some limited liposuction under the chin area. Talk to the surgeon about the changes you prefer.
