It looks worse then it did before I got the procedure done. Should I go back to the doctor? Is there anything that can be done now?
Answer: 8 months after, looking "worse" I would suggest reviewing your before and after photos with your treating provider. You should compare if you're at equal weight and review the pictures. If indeed you appear worse ask for their opinion on repeating the treatments. They should also assess you for any issues including paradoxical hyperplasia. best of luck.

Answer: Problems after Coolsculpting Sorry to hear about your problem. Considering you don't mention that the area has more volume or fullness, the chances of paradoxical hyperplasia are minimal. I'd see your provider and let them examine you and take some after photos to compare. There may be some very easy treatments to improve this.Andrew Campbell, M.D. Quintessa Aesthetic Centers

Answer: Get an Evaluation To Discuss--VASER for treatment I recommend getting a formal evaluation with your Dr. to rule out paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, it is rare, but can be treated with a VASER hi def procedure. This type of fat is very fibrous and needs an energy based device to remove it. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: CoolScultping and hardening of the treated area Hi terrinessler,Yes, you should visit your doctor as soon as possible. There is a very rare side-effect that may have occurred in this case called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia which is, simply put, an increase in the fatty tissue in the area treated. Your doctor will be able to confirm whether this is the case for you and then will most likely recommend correcting this issue with surgical means. She/he will also be able to assess the darkening of the area. Best of luck, Manish Khanna, MD
