I'm thinking of having Smart Lipo done on my stomach and inner thighs. Can I undergo the procedure even if my right kidney is non-functional?

Medical Clearance for Smartlipo

Having one functional kidney is not a contraindication for Smartlipo or any cosmetic procedure.  However, prior to your procedure, you will need to see your medical doctor to ensure that there are no medical contraindications for the procedure and the ensure that nothing is done to affect your functioning kidney.  Good luck.

SmartLipo and Medical History

At the consultation with the physician they will evaluate your areas of concern and go over your medical history. They physician would want full medical history, including the reason of the one kidney. Most physicians would require a medical clearance.

Smartlipo and one kidney

A pre-operative medical work-up should be routine. Why do you have only 1 kidney? If there is a predisposing condition that prevents you from having surgery then obviously you are not a candidate. But, if you are otherwise healthy and you get a "clean bill of health" from your doctor, then you are good to go.
