Im going for a reduction in three weeks. I am unsure of what size I want to be Post Op. I am 23 yes old, 5'9" and about 220lbs. Keep in mind I am not narrow at the hips but I do plan on loosing a couple pounds down the line. I want to go as small as possible because I don't care too much for big boobs.
Answer: What is an ideal size after reduction from 38DDD+? Congratulations on your decision to proceed with breast reduction surgery; this operation is one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. Based on your question, I think that you will be best off spending more time communicating directly with your plastic surgeon. Before undergoing the breast reduction procedure it will be very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon. Most patients wish to achieve enough of a reduction to help with their symptoms while remaining proportionate with the remainder of their torso. In other words, there is no “ideal”; much will depend on your preferences/goals. With the goal of improving communication with my patients I find the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C cup” means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Bottom line: spend more time with your carefully chosen plastic surgeon. Communicate your goals carefully. Make sure that you have carefully considered the pros/cons (and learn about potential risks/complications) associated with breast reduction surgery. You may find the attached link, dedicated to breast reduction surgery concerns, hopeful to you as well. Best wishes.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Breast reduction size Thank you for your pictures. The goal of breast surgery is not cup size so I cannot even ideal size. Your plastic surgeon will determine your size based on your frame. Once healing is complete you will buy a conventional brought and what size your breast will be.

Answer: Reduction sizing I always hate to talk in terms of cup sizes as bra manufacturers are inconsistent. You can go down to a large C. There are limitations in terms of how small to go unless the nipples are removed and replaced---which is done for exceptionally large and pendulous breasts--like an H cup. You are statuesque and should have a very nice result. You should have a preop consultation with your plastic surgeon and go over the proportion issues at that time. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast reduction When doing a breast reduction, the important aspect of the surgery is making sure that the blood supply to the nipple areola complex is preserved. This means that a certain amount of breast tissue must be left behind. This therefore limits how "small" your breasts can safely be made with a breast reduction. Your PS should be able to recommend a safe size that is still proportionate to your body, so you don't lose your feminine curves.
