What Should I Apply After Having Allergic Reactions to Erythromycin Cream?

I had a warts removal and they applied erythromycin cream after. The following day, I woke up with itchy feeling and reddish bumps on tha part cauterized. I took antihistamine for the itch and applied calamine...the bumps flatten however leaving dark marks...I hope it will not be permanent scars. sorry dont have pictures...but please do help me..
