I had a breast lift with slight reduction nine months ago and my nipples seem like they are too high. They pop out of all of my bathing suits and bras. I measured from my neck clavicle to each nipple in the distance is 9 inches on each side. The distance between my two nipples is 8.5 inches. I have already had one revision done to my right nipple because it was asymmetrical to the left. I am 5 foot 10 and 36 years old. Do they appear too high?
Answer: Lift Your nipples are probably not too high, but you have some excess lower breast tissue which can be easily removed from the lower incision. In doing this, your nipples will no longer appear too high or pop out of your bathing suits and bras.

Answer: Are the nipples too high? Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, the distance from the top of the breast bone to the nipples appears normal, the distance from nipples to the fold beneath the breasts appears increased and there appears to be loss of superior breast pole fullness. The nipples don't appear high....the breasts appear low. This is compatible with "bottoming out", a condition in which the weight of the implant has stretched the skin at the inferior breast poles. This is not uncommon as pregnancy often overstretches and damages the skin. It loses its elasticity and tends to stretch more easily. It is more likely to occur if a large implant was utilized or if you demonstrate weakened connective tissue. This can be corrected with an infraareolar mastopexy. One may consider placing Galaflex mesh to reinforce the inferior breast poles to prevent recurrence. Discuss this issue with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes...

Answer: 9 months post-op - Do my nipples appear too high? Hello @Chickadee013, thank you for your question and showing your picture. It is possible to reposition and improve the shape of the breast with minimal scarring by raising the base slightly and improving the overall proportion. This will create overall harmony. For more information and recommendations is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Bottomed out Your nipples are high on your breast mound but I think the problem is the lower part of your breast mound has "bottomed out" or so called pseudoptosis. This makes the nipples no longer in the center of your breasts. Your nipple to breast fold distance is about double what it should be. You need a breast lift revision to remove all the excess skin below your nipple with an incision in the breast fold. Your nipples would then be back in the center of your breast. Good luck.

Answer: Nipple height If they pop out of your clothing then you should have the lift recused. It appears you bottomed out a bit. Lower breast skin may be excised under local anesthesia.
