I have 25 year old implants. Not sure if our material is textured or not, incision sight is thru the nipple. My problem is I am on a walker and have HAD breast cancer which came with neuro & autoimmune issues. In the process of getting a doc lined up to remove the implants. I feel the implants have played a part in some of my neuro & autoimmune disorders. How long is the recovery for a normal person? Since I use my upper body function any idea the down time. I live alone so I’ll need help.

The capsule is rarely too thin to remove, it just requires a different conversation because the procedure may be more involved and sacrifice more normal tissue. If the rupture is intracapsular the capsule can simply be opened and the implant and all its contents suctioned out before it spills...
Your breasts do not have a tubular shape. If they were tubular to begin with, the implants have corrected most of that and they should not return to that shape once the implants are removed.
Most women who undergo a reduction or exchange to smaller implants or remove implants do feel less weight on their necks and shoulders. Removing the excess weight may help give some relief. However, you still might need the rib removed for complete relief.
