Just finished a 6 mnth accutane treatment. It helped with the frequency and severity of my cystic acne. However, I still have small cysts on neck as well as "regular" pimples that have stuck around for a while. One doctor has suggested ingrown hairs as a possible cause. Others say some of problem might be ingrown hairs, but mostly genetics is causing the cysts. I know both treatments are lengthy, but accutane is far cheaper for me. Do you think a 2nd course of accutane would be more effective?

Answer: Effectiveness of Accutane vs Laser Hair Removal
Accutane does not make you "age faster". Sun damage does. So if you want to use Accutane, which is a fantastic medication, it's important to make sure you use sunscreen every single day (which you really should do anyway).
Thank you for your question. Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation is very common in ethnic skin especially after any skin changes occur including acne. These scars will fade over time however the best thing to do is to make sure you use an SPF 30 sunscreen (preferably with Zinc Oxide) to protect...
I'd be hard pressed to tell you it's a good idea to take anabolic steroids any way, but you should absolutely not take them if you are on Accutane. It's a bad combination and could damage to your liver.
