Fillers such as restylane can be used to correct subtle irregularities of the nose in a safe and effective way in most cases. The first thing to keep in mind is that the individual injecting the filler needs to have an intimate understanding of the nose. This often starts with someone who has good experience with rhinoplasty. Too often noses are filled in unusual and unnatural ways. I have found it to be a good choice for patients with minor contour irregularities. I do not recommend it for creating a straight profile in patients with a small hump for example because it is simply not cost effective given its temporary nature. I would recommend staying away from permanent fillers as these may make secondary procedures more difficult.
