Breast Lift best for sagging or droopy breasts

Sean A. Simon, MD answers: Is there a non-surgical Breast Lift procedure?

My breasts are very saggy for my age. I just turned 20, and I was wondering if there is any way to lift them without surgery. I am a 32D.

Sagging breasts at a young age is more common than you might think, with increasing frequency in women that developed large breasts very young.  For women of any age with sagging breasts, a breast lift either in conjunction or alone is often the procedure that is necessary to provide the optimal result.

However, there is no substitute for a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who performs breast lifts on a regular basis, in order to determine what procedure will meet your goals.  During the consultation with your surgeon of choice, you must express your goals and expectations and the surgeon should be able to explain what is and is not realistic.

So, to more directly answer your question; if the breasts are sagging and you want perky, full breasts, like most women do, then a breast lift is the solution. There are no magic pills, devices, or lasers that will achieve your goals. My breast lift patients are some of the happiest, most satisfied patients I have ever had.

Luckily, with good surgical technique and experience, as well as the natural tendencies of breast skin, the scars on the breast tend to heal very well and their appearance is rarely a source of complaint. The important thing when assessing your options is to understand what is really possible and realistic from any given procedure.
