Face Lift after Botox or fillers is okay if swelling and bruising have subsided

Stephen A. Goldstein, MD answers: Facelift while Botox or fillers still active?

Is it safe to have a facelift when Botox or cosmetic fillers are still in effect, or would it be better to wait until they have worn off? Will the Botox or filler have any effect on the results?

I agree with the above statements that having a facelift shortly after receiving Botox and fillers should not be a problem--as long as the initial swelling and bruising has subsided. The most important thing is to communicate your concerns with your plastic surgeon and see what he/she thinks is the best course of action.

Good luck, and thank you for your question!
