Laser treatment for pores and scars

Steven H. Williams, MD answers: Best laser treatment for scars and large pores?

Which between Pearl, Laser Genesis, and Fraxel Laser most successfully reduces pore size, acne scars, and chicken pox scars? Any comment or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately none of the treatments mentioned will completely correct the type of scars you describe.  They may make some improvement but the scars will still be visible.

Also be prepared for some downtime after these treatments.

There really isn't a great solution for facial scars from acne or chicken pox.  Laser, dermabrasion, injectable fillers and excision have all been tried with limited results.

Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
