No laser will be right for all scars.  Beware that the doctor or laser center is recommending only the laser that they just happen to have in their office.  Experienced laser surgeons should have a variety of lasers in their office, as well as be well versed in other techniques - subcision, dermabrasion, and surgical excision.  All of these techniques and lasers have their own advantages and disadvantages, so be sure you are aware of these before suigning up for any particular procedure.
