I’ve had hooded eyelids my whole life and as I approached 44, it just got worse. I always wanted blepharoplasty so in November 2023, I finally took the step to get it done. Dr. Schwartz and his staff are super friendly and made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions clearly. The procedure itself was painless and quick and the recovery time was only a week. I know eyelids a...
I have been wanting to get a Tummy Tuck for over 15 years. I kept talking myself out of it for many reasons mostly fear of the pain. I have heard amazing things about Dr Schwartz for years, I never considered any other surgeons. I finally got the courage to go for consultation. My consultation was with Nurse Stephanie. I really did not think that I would feel comfortable having my consultation...
I was so nervous to discuss a procedure that genuinely scared me. But I knew if I wanted to have the look I desired, that I needed to find a surgeon that I trusted, had a good feeling with, highly qualified, and had great before and afters. That was Dr. Jen Stark! All my worries went away when I met with her. She was honest and I liked her approach to solving my areas of concern on my body....
It’s hard to articulate how grateful I am. Dr. Schwartz was not only faced with the task of fixing major aesthetic issues; but very intense physical components as well. I had developed severe capsular contracture from a breast augmentation done by another surgeon in 2020. Dr. Schwartz’s phenomenal work and gifted hands have alleviated years of discomfort and severe pain that I was exp...
So happy I chose to go with Dr. Stark. Amazing experience from consultation to pre op to surgery day to post op. I got breast lift with implants. 22 no kids and wanted to feel confident in my 20’s. She’s kind, honest, and supportive. She gave me such comfort throughout the process, was not worried or nervous. My results are beautiful and natural. She’s a perfectionist and I would do it 10x a...
A: Yes, the two procedures are often combined together. Patients with jowl and neck skin laxity often have a loss of skin quality around the mouth as well. This can appear as a long or "horsey" upper lip. A lip lift done conservatively can significantly improve this. In addition, laser resurfacing with either the CO2 or Erbium laser can tighten and shorten the upper lip if your lip shape isn't ideal for a lift.
A: Thank you for your question. The hairline will always have some changes with a facelift. In the sideburn area, the goal is to avoid moving the sideburn so far that it appears abnormal. This can be done in two ways. First, in patients with a strong sideburn, the incision is made behind it. Even though it will shift a bit, the scar is hidden and the sideburn still looks normal. In patients with a weak or strong sideburn, or in patients who have had a previous facelift, the incision is made at the edge of the hairline. It takes longer for this to heal, but the sideburn is unchanged and the hair can be worn back once the scar has faded. You can see both of these incision in my gallery.
A: Swelling under eyes after tear trough injection can take days to go down. This area in specific has a tendency to retain fluid, and when adding HA filler, which is attracted to water (hyrophilic- meaning liking water), tends to swell more and persist. I always advise patients to wait a full two weeks and if anything is of concern at that time to be seen by your injector.

A: Tear trough injection is complicated , and requires expert knowledge of the anatomy. Near the tear trough lies the infraorbital foramen, this is essentially a tiny hole from which nerves and blood supply arise. It communicates the infraorbital nerve, which is a branch of the trigeminal nerve. The infraorbital nerve has sensory branches to the maxillary sinus and upper teeth. This is most likely why the provider asked if you felt anything in your teeth/mouth to let them know as it would indicate to her that she may be near the foramen and therefore she should move her needle so the injection would be safer and more comfortable. The ongoing tingle may or may not be related and you should contact your provider so they can assess the area.

Erin
A: Every patient is different and will require varying amounts of product to achieve their desired outcomes. I always recommend starting with one syringe. If you were pleased with your outcome but desire more volume you can always add more usually any time after 2 weeks from last injection. A slow approach to building volume can provide natural and beautiful results. I recommend seeing a experienced injection expert, medically certified by the State you seek treatment in, who preforms regular lip augmentation using HA fillers.
