Dr. Benson E. L. Timmons is a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Gastonia, North Carolina, serving the greater Charlotte area. Over nearly three decades in practice, Dr. Timmons has performed thousands of aesthetic procedures. He understands that plastic surgery requires a combination of art, creativity, and science to create the best and most natural result. Dr. Timmons founded Southeastern Plastic Surgery in 1994 and merged with Piedmont Plastic Surgery & Dermatology in 2012, to provide more comprehensive patient care. He has deep expertise in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body, and face but is particularly well known for facial aesthetic improvement, body contouring, and breast augmentation. Dr. Timmons earned his medical degree at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. To perfect his skills, he went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at North Carolina Memorial Hospitals in Chapel Hill; a residency in Plastic, Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham; and a Hand Surgery residency at Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky. Today, Dr. Timmons is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Timmons is known for the time he spends listening to patients.
