Ryan Rebowe, MD
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

I am excited to have the honor of treating patients in Mobile county, Baldwin county, and the Gulf Coast area. I have spent a lifetime living and training in the Southeast to be able to provide care for out wonderful patient population. After growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I went to the University of Virginia where I received a Bachelors degree in Biology. I then returned to Louisiana for his Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University, and my medical degree at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. There, I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was fortunate enough to earn accolades from the Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center for outstanding research as well as multiple awards for academic accomplishments and community service. These included the Colin Goodier Scholarship, Alpha Omega Alpha Scholarship, and the Paula C. Ragland Award. After medical school, I pursued the integrated plastic surgery program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. While my training was clinically focused on the full breadth of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, I also focused on advancing the field of plastic surgery with research that resulted in numerous journal articles, book chapters, and presentations on the local, regional, and national level. Staying at the forefront of my field has been a priority to provide the best, most up to date procedures for my patients. My aesthetic focus remains on helping my patients look and feel their absolute best. I strive to individualize my treatment plans on the specific desires and anatomy of each patient. My main focus in on rejuvenation of breast and body for women of all ages. I also particularly enjoy working with weight loss patients in various aspects of body contouring including abdomen, chest, arms, and thighs. For my aging patients, I utilize a combination of injectables, lasers, and of course surgery to provide a more youthful appearance of the eyes, lower face, and neck. I particularly enjoy contouring of the neck with liposuction and excisional surgery. My main reconstructive interest is restoration of the breast following mastectomy, lumpectomy, or other congenital breast issues. In this endeavor, I utilize expanders, implants, and autologous tissue (DIEP/TRAM flaps). I also focus on reconstruction of skin and other cancers of the head and neck, abdomen, and extremities. When he is not in the operating room, I spend as much time as I can with my beautiful wife, Danielle, and my three daughters Addison, Eleanor, and Margaret. I thoroughly enjoy any time outdoors, particularly hunting, fishing, or hiking. I am proud to be a part of the Mobile and Baldwin county communities. I strive at all times to offer personalized surgical care of the highest quality, safety and integrity. Through the Park and Rebowe Clinic for Plastic Surgery and PR MedSpa, I hope to provide this experience to my patients in a comfortable and confidential atmosphere.

My recovery time was minimal

Dr Ryan Rebowe was absolutely a godsend! I wanted a neck lift but knew nothing about the procedure or what to expect. He sat with me, in no rush at all, and explained every detail. The 5 hour procedure went great! My recovery time was minimal. I actually drove myself to my 2nd follow up appointment 6 days post surgery. I was back at work 14 days post surgery. Dr Rebowe is so compassionate,...

359 Q&A

Q: Can this area be treated with filler? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. ReboweApril 11, 2024

A: This area is caused by sagging of the cheeks relative to the skin. The best filler may be something with a high G' ("thick") filler in the cheeks, or a lower G' ("thinner") filler into the lines themselves. A full face picture would give a better idea of what would help. Just looking at that area in the photo, likely Restylane Defyne would work well.

Q: H cup hoping to achieve C cup - can this be done with a reduction alone? (photo)
Answered by Dr. ReboweApril 11, 2024

A: Almost everyone who consults would like a "perfect C" cup. However, in reality, a true C cup would look too small on the majority of women. The D cup is necessary to keep enough tissue on your skin and your nipple to keep both of them alive. Any breast reduction is also a breast lift, as the nipple must be lifted in order to remove the appropriate tissue. Even though some women are hesitant about proceeding and still being a D cup, I have never had someone complain that they remained "too large" or that their symptoms did not decrease following a breast reduction.

Q: Will a breast fat transfer help me achieve firmer breasts that hold their shape?
Answered by Dr. ReboweApril 11, 2024

A: The things you are describing, feeling firmer and sticking out from your body (projecting) when laying flat, are more characteristic of implants than fat transfer. Fat transfer in general is a bit smaller volume and will end up giving a softer appearance to the breast. In other words, the breast will be less firm, less upper pole fullness, and less projecting than an implant. One is not necessarily "better" than the other, but you will get a very different result from both.

Q: Are 625cc round hp implants too big for my frame? (photos)
Answered by Dr. ReboweApril 11, 2024

A: Just looking at your picture, you seem to be a generally smaller framed person. Because of this, it would be hard to recommend an implant as large as 625cc without taking your exact measurements. I do agree with high profile, and may even go to an ultra high profile implant (Both Mentor and Sientra make this style) to fit your chest wall if you wanted to be bigger than you already are.

Q: Fillers for facial rejuvenation? Which procedure would minimize the appearance of laugh lines? (photos)
Answered by Dr. ReboweApril 11, 2024

A: You seem to have a good cheekbone structure and only mild sagging of the lower face. In your case, I try not to use fillers as using fillers on those with high or prominent cheekbones can look "overfilled." I would recommend a facial sculpting device, such as EMface or Trilift, to give a bit of radiofrequency and muscle stimulation in order to keep the tissue and muscles in your face a bit fuller. Many of these treatments also include microneedling which helps to improve the overall texture of your skin.
