Picosure laser tattoo removal (including color ink) (yellow)

Today I had my first picosure laser tattoo removal on forearm. My tattoo is a sunflower about the size of your palm (3x3") It has been 2 hours post treatment and I am having minor stinging. The treatment itself was very similar to getting a tattoo. They had me put lidocaine numbing cream 5% for about 45 minutes before treatment. It really helped take the edge off. The treatment itself took...

Highly recommend

I went to Ink Free MD for laser tattoo removal. I was going for treatments at Dr. Tattoff, and they suddenly closed their doors, leaving me with 1/2 of my treatments left, and without a refund. I heard about Ink Free MD from a friend who had great results. The Doctor was thorough, diligent, very informative and made me feel comfortable. I wish I came here in the first place!

Phoenix Tattoo - Houston, TX

I had been looking for somewhere to get rid of my 20 year old tattoo for a while and finally decided to take the plunge. Inkfree is a great place, they are very knowledgeable and professional. It does hurt a lot, but they have a numbing cream that makes a huge difference. Very happy with my results!

Absolutely amazing facility and staff with amazing results!!!

This was my first time to seek out having a laser treatment done and visited several “spa” places for consultations. Since this was my first time doing this type of procedure I was nervous, the other “spa” type places I've been to just for a consultation were beyond overwhelming. They were more focused to try to sell me packages I didn’t want or need. Being owned and operated by a doctor, t...

Amazing results, great experience! - Houston, TX

I had been thinking of having an old tattoo removed for quite a while, so I did my research on different places, and ended up at Inkfree, MD, after doing an initial cost-free evaluation. The doctor and staff were warm and knowledgable, and answered all of my questions fully. It's a small family business, and they make the process as un-intimidating and straightforward as possible. I was...

Q: Itching tattoo. Will getting it lasered off stop the itching and the reaction? It’s the red part itching (Photo)
Answered by Dr. OkekeApril 23, 2019

A: I'm assuming that this is a new tattoo and it just started itching. It sounds like you may have an allergy to some of the components of the red ink. This is not an uncommon reaction, but lasering it is not the answer and could potentially make things worse You will need to be treated for an allergic reaction by a medical professional. You can start by taking an over-the-counter antihistamine such as benadryl or Zyrtec but you will probably need stronger, prescription medications. Good luck

Q: Will this tattoo be completely removed using Enlighten by Cutera? All black tattoos. (Photos)
Answered by Dr. OkekeApril 13, 2019

A: Hi there, this tattoo should come out nicely with the Enlighten or any picosecond laser. The ink doesn't look that saturated and black is the easiest color to remove. You should expect between 4-6 treatments. Good luck!

Q: Can I go for laser hair removal whilst being on Cetirizine? (allergy tablets)
Answered by Dr. OkekeJanuary 30, 2019

A: You can absolutely take cetirizine while undergoing laser hair removal. It is an antihistamine which does not make your skin more sensitive to the sun. If you should have any itching or sensitivity after the treatments, it might actually help!

Q: What can I do about hyperpigmantation/tiena versicolor after laser hair removal on my cheekbones? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. OkekeJanuary 8, 2019

A: Hi there, generally hypopigmentation caused by lasers and tinea versicolor are two different things. Tinea is caused by a fungus which generally responds well to topical treatments and gradual UV light exposure. Your primary care doctor should be able to diagnose and treat you if it is tinea versicolor. Your skin looks good, the hypopigmented areas appear mild and your natural color should return either way. Good luck!

Q: How many sessions will it take to remove my poke tattoo? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. OkekeJanuary 8, 2019

A: The good news is that is a new tattoo, so the ink has yet to settle into the dermis. Newer tattoos are generally easier to remove as is black ink. You should find a provider that uses Pico technology as results are generally achievable in fewer visits and with less risk of adverse effects such as hypo/hyperpigmentation and scarring. I would estimate between 4-6 for this tattoo. Good luck!
