Desde que llegue a la oficina todo el staff fue bien amigable y atento. Area de consulta limpia y todo muy organizado. A Long Time Coming and Wonderful Results!

I am only one week post surgery but am very pleased with what I see. From the first appointment everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I went to one follow up the next day and a remote via my cell today. I cannot wait to see what I look like in a month!

Could Not Ask for a Better Doctor!

Dr. Castellano is always very personable, as is the staff. Not only is Dr. C extremely knowledgeable, but you can tell that he loves to teach others as well. If I had one tiny complaint, it's only that he books out so far that I do not dare miss an appointment, but that just means that his services are in high demand. :-)

22 Q&A

Q: Does Juvederm Ever Leak from the Injection Site?
Answered by Dr. CastellanoDecember 22, 2013

A: Yes, the clear substance is most likely the Juvederm.  Unlikely that you have an infection, I do recommend following with your injector.  Avoid overly vigorous massage for a few days after Juvederm injections.

Q: Will red dots where Voluma injection was inserted go away? (photo)
Answered by Dr. CastellanoDecember 22, 2013

A: Yes, the insertion point does go away.  Give it time, and be in touch with your injector if it does not.  Best of Luck!

Q: When will I feel kinda normal after a facelift?
Answered by Dr. CastellanoDecember 22, 2013

A: Everyone recovers a little differently.  What kind of lift did you have?  Mini?  Full traditional facelift?  Modified SMAS?  11 days is still early.  Give it time, and call your primary surgeon to make sure you are getting your questions answered.  I recommend caution using chat rooms this early in the recovery process, there are too many things that will scare the heck out of you.  You need to talk with your primary surgeon to get the reassurance you need.  Best of luck!

Q: Could the muscles have been pulled too tight in my face and neck as I have had pain and pulling for 18 months?
Answered by Dr. CastellanoDecember 22, 2013

A: Hi Fiona,  I see two questions here:  1. What is the best way to address your pixie ear and 2. What is causing your persistent discomfort.

Pixie ears can be addressed with either a minor treatment, or repeating the lift, depending on your exam.  I would recommend an additional consultation to evaluate your ear, or you can post a picture to give more feedback.

Persistent discomfort lasting 18 months is uncommon.  Muscle relaxers may help, and sometimes physical therapy to work out the soreness.  If your primary surgeon does not address those concerns, I would recommend an additional opinion.  Best of luck to you.

Q: Can Temporalis Muscle Wasting from Botox Be Reversed? (photo)
Answered by Dr. CastellanoOctober 22, 2013

A: As Botox is only temporary, your situation should return to normal with time! You need to follow with your doctor. If you don't have TMJ (temporomandibular Joint) issues, I would consider chewing gum to exercise the temporalis to build it back up You should see a return to normality within 6-9 months. Do this only under the direction of your doctor to evaluate whether or not there are any other neurologic deficits, though it seems to be most related to the botox

Good luck!
