Q: I need to have a partial lumpectomy. Can I combine two surgeries into one? Could it be cover by my health insurance? (Photo)

A: Hello, I wanted to follow up on the question that you asked back in February. Were you able to get in to see a plastic surgeon? Also, in regards to insurance, your plastic surgeon should be able to submit a pre-cert or authorization to your insurance company if he feels the procedures are medically necessary.

A: Thank you for your question. Breast Reconstruction surgeries can be very painful and I am sorry you are going through this. I realize your question was asked a couple of years ago, so I wanted to follow up and see how you were feeling and where you were at this stage of your reconstruction. I hope you were able to speak with the Plastic Surgeon who performed your surgery and that they were able to provide you with some solutions for your pain.
