Best staff & stellar service - son needed attention for a skin problem

My son needed attention for a skin problem. The drop down menu doesn’t allow me to choose dermatology so it says facial. . Dr Rostan and her entire team went above and beyond to help address the issue and ensure his skin healed and stays healthy. I have used her team for the hydra facial and they do a fabulous job. The staff for the front office upstairs and downstairs are fabulous hard w...

AccuLift - activated some of my very atrophied supporting shoulder muscles

Tiffany was great. First time doing Accufit post a shoulder surgery. She was thorough, knowledgeable and great experience, super friendly and professional! The technology was very effective. It definitely activated some of my very atrophied supporting shoulder muscles without putting any strain on the repair joint. I am seven weeks postop with limited mobility, and this treatment seems to be...

181 Q&A

Q: Is Sculptra injected with a cannula or a needle?
Answered by Dr. RostanJuly 9, 2020

A: I prefer to inject Sculptra using a needle, as I feel it does not inject well via cannula. I also prefer to use hyperdiluted Radiesse injected more superficially in the neck, verses Sculptra.  This is not to add volume, it is to provide skin tightening, it acts primarily as a biostimulator to address concerns related to skin texture, fine wrinkles, and crepiness.

Q: I have Crohn's and Glaucoma can I get Botox injections in my forehead?
Answered by Dr. RostanJuly 9, 2020

A: It is safe to receive Botox injections with Crohn's Disease and Glaucoma.  Botox is injected in small targeted doses to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (this occurs by weakening the underlying muscle causing the contraction).  When used for aesthetic purposes, Botox is slowly metabolized by the body, making it safe for cosmetic treatment.

Q: What safe facial would you suggest for darker pigmented skin around my mouth and nose?
Answered by Dr. RostanApril 6, 2020

A: A good place to start is with a good skin care regimen that includes a topical depigment agent, antioxidant protection, and daily sunscreen.  This regimen should include or more skin care products that contain a tyrosinase inhibitor that will slow down melanin production result in lighter skin.  Tyrosinase inhibitors include hydroquinone, bearberry extract, azelaic acid, Kojic acid and Vitamin C.\

For a facial treatment, the HydraFacial is great choice as it is gentle and won’t irritate the skin, but it is effective in infusing products into the skin during treatment and enhancing home product penetration for days after the treatment.

HydraFacial combines 4 separate skin rejuvenation procedures in one using a patented Vortex- Fusion technology to infuse vital nutrients and antioxidants into your skin tailored to your skin specific needs.  It can be used on all skin types, even the most sensitive.  The HydraFacial skin brightening treatment features the Britenol vortex booster which will help brighten and balance skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation or darkness. The Britenol booster contains Vitamin C, Arbutin, and Bearberry Extract - all tyrosinase inhibitors that help lighten and brighten skin and suppress melanin production.

Q: Can I do Photodynamic therapy 24 hours after Botox?
Answered by Dr. RostanApril 3, 2020

A: I would not combine PDT for acne and botox neuromuscluar relaxer injection on the same day but the next day would be fine.

Q: Can I have photodynamic therapy if I have filler in my face?
Answered by Dr. RostanApril 3, 2020

A: Yes - you can have photodynamic therapy probably as soon as one week after filler in the area.
