Dr. Hernandez was MAGNIFICENT with my minor mommy makeover! After nursing three wonderful babies, I was ready to trade the “rocks in socks” look for a full and perky profile! Dr. Hernandez graciously answered mine and my husband’s questions with such confidence and knowledge that it put us at ease. Her surgical skills did not disappoint!! My husband is DEFINITELY pleased as am I! Not only ...
I went to Dr. Hix-Hernandez for a breast lift, liposuction and fat transfer to the breasts. From our very first consultation I knew Dr. Hix truly cared and was fully invested in delivering the results I was looking for. She explained each procedure in detail and even steered me away from an additional procedure I thought I needed as she explained the surgery would not serve my goal. Her staff...
Dr Hix-Hernandez is absolutely a hands down miracle worker. She did my breast augmentation and the consult to recovery was fantastic. She sized me based on my frame and the results are nothing short of fabulous. She’s the only doctor I will allow to do any work on me!
Dr. Smith was and is Fantastic. I had my camel hump removed, as well as my double chin. I'm very happy with my results. He actually removes the fat and it's done in an operating room, in Cedar Park, TX. He removed every bit of fat from my camel hump because he knew how important it was to me. He works for Beleza Plastic Surgery and they do have an office in Killeen, TX. They also allow...
He was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions concerning the procedure. He made sure I was satisfied with everything and I will always recommend him to anyone looking to get this procedure done!
A: Hi mainemom,
Thank you for your question. Most of the time, liposuction requires minimal downtime and very tolerable post-operative discomfort. With that said, I would estimate that you could return to singing in approximately 2 weeks from surgery. Most of the time, the worst discomfort is over at two weeks and I expect that you will be able to take deep 'belly breaths' during singing. I hope that this helps. Best of luck!

A: Hi Charming932060,
Thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, it appears that you would be an excellent candidate for abdominal liposuction to improve the contour of your abdomen. Whether or not an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) would provide greater improvement really depends on how much excess skin you have and if you have significant rectus diastasis (separation of the abdominal muscles). Based on your photographs, it doesn't appear that you have a large amount of excess skin, however, an examination by a qualified surgeon would be necessary to determine the degree of skin laxity and rectus diastasis. Best of luck!

A: Hi Janelle7676,
Thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, I feel that liposuction is the most predictable technique that can be utilized to help you achieve the contour of your hips, thighs and buttocks. Liposuction, when performed by an experienced surgeon, can remove the areas of increased fat and blend and contour these areas naturally into adjacent areas that you are more satisfied with.
Sincerely,
Roger Smith, MD, FACS
A: Hi leanne660,
Thank you for your question. Although do feel that massage helps prevent contour irregularities in the initial few weeks after a liposuction procedure, at five years post-procedure, massage is unlikely to correct any 'lumpy' areas. I would recommend consultation with your surgeon to see what options may exist for you to help correct these areas. There are both surgical and non-surgical techniques that may be appropriate for you. Best of luck!
-Sincerely,
Roger Smith, MD, FACS
A: Hi Witty245956!
Yes, liposuction to the upper abdomen can be a beneficial option for improving the contour of your abdomen after pregnancies, however, there are important factors to consider in order to choose the treatment plan that will yield the results you are looking for:
1. Do you have significant separation of the abdominal muscles after your pregnancies (rectus diastasis)? If so, an abdominoplasty may be required to yield the abdominal contour that you want.
2. Is there a reason that you would not consider liposuction to the lower abdomen as well? In most instances, there is usually excess abdominal fat in this region as well that may need to be addressed.
Certainly, a consultation and examination with a qualified surgeon can help to understand your specific aesthetic goals and guide you to the appropriate treatment approach.
Sincerely,
Dr. Smith'
