I have had a difficult journey with cosmetic dentistry. This eventually lead to me getting porcelain veneers. I made it clear that my goals were trying to recreate the smile that i had (along with any improvements). I appreciate that what i went to the dentist with was a mess, but i feel the results are still not great. My front teeth are still short and the other teeth have shifted and are set back. Any advice if changes can be made are appreciated, as ive been told to try and get used them.
Hi I have temporary veneers in on my Peg laterals but only have my old retainer. I feel my teeth shifting and wont get a retainer till the real veneers come next month. Can I wear my old retainer to stop from shifting? The retainer doesnt fit that well with the two new veneers
I had 10 veneers put in on my top teeth, of which one is moving backward creating a big gap and making a noticeable ridge (from veneer to veneer) that would normally be smooth behind my teeth. I called and the Dentist told me I would like need invisaline to fix it. Why I would be charged for invisaline when the shift must have occured because of the veneers. I have not had shifting issues in 15 years since having braces. Also my molars have been out since for about the same amount of time.
I had braces around 7 to 8 years ago. I am 23 years old now. I had partially impacted lower 3rd molars and recurrent pericoronitis so I had them extracted.Prior the extraction, I noticed my lower left second premolar had shifted lingually. My orthodontist also suggested there might be movement because of the lower thirds. However, now that they're out I'm waiting for the tooth to go back to position. However just yesterday I noticed that my upper left premolar has also shifted lingually a little.
I had braces in my teens and teeth pulled to correct my overbite but it never worked. I finally got Lumineers in my mid 20's and I was very happy with them for a long time but my teeth have shifted since (I am now in my early 30's) and I feel the overbite has gotten even more massive, my teeth look crooked again and they look somewhat unnatural due to thickness. I am also unhappy with their color now. What would be a good cosmetic solution to solve this? Estimated cost?
I had a crocked front tooth 8 years ago and a cosmetic dentist shaved it to a point and replaced it with a veneer. About a month ago it came out while brushing my teeth. I went to a different dentist that cemented it back in and said I was good for another 8 years. But, it hurts and sometimes I think I feel it shifting. I'm worried it will come out again.
I have porcelain veneers on my front 6 teeth. I have crowns but I can't tell you where. I have a molar (#3) that needs a root canal. Long story short, my insurance is not going to help. I want to know if I get it extracted if my teeth will shift? I do not want a gap especially in the front. Someone just mentioned to me that they shouldn't shift since they are veneers.
