Hi, I was born with two peg teeth but I lost one due to an infection. Ive been in braces for almost 6 years now. My first orthodontist didnt know what he was doing and caused my front teeth to be flared out. Which I hate! One of my front teeth is higher than the other and there is a gap. My second orthodontist was abusive towards me. I cant get implants due to my health condition and theres no space for them.
So I went to the dentist today in hopes of closing in the gapes between my teeth (the upper ones) and to fix the small open bite I have. She said that veneers will be a quick fix for this problem and I don't mind getting it but then she said I needed to have root canal on my two front teeth which I couldn't understand why. To my knowledge, root canal is for inflamed or infected teeth and my teeth are perfectly healthy and strong. Can someone please advice me on this?
I got upper and lower temps for veneers put on 2 weeks ago. Ive had pain, bleeding and inflammation everyday since. After 12 days the doctor is telling me the irritation and infection caused is due to material from my temporary irritating my gums and put me on an antibiotic mouthwash and a 7 day does of antibiotics. He did scrape out one large pice of material that was cutting through my gum above one of my teeth.
After having my overbite corrected with veneers i immediately suffered in pain & got an infected nerve. My dentist gave me antibiotics & said I may need it drilled from the back of the veneer & drained. I know this nerve was killed by grinding my tooth down too much. Shouldn't they take some financial responsibility for the bill? He caused the nerve to die! I wish I took photos of the huge puss pocket in my gums over the tooth. I haven't been back yet, still taking meds. Help, any advice?
Hi there, I recently had a veneer placed on my incisor. It needed to be wider since I had an impacted canine (surgically removed). However, I've been noticing this dark spot - growing and getting darker. What could be causing it? I won't be able to visit my dentist for a while. how dangerous is it to leave this untreated for a few months? Thanks!
I have very bad Sjorgrens Syndrome, which left my teeth brown and revolting. My dentist suggested veneers, which I agree to, however , ever since they have developed bacteria and infection due to my lack of saliva. I am so fed up, I wish I never had them done. i don't think with such seve S.S. my dentist should have done this work, and they have fallen off to reveal pitted, infected, teeth. Above the veneer you can also see black infection. Any advice please?
