Had a large mole removed from my face via Plexr, has started to form a crust, was advised to just treat as normal. Its only been 8 hours, not sure if I should wash now or in the morning!? I'm reading conflicting info on post care for mole removal, but cant find any for Plexr, some say keep it moist, covered and not let it dry out for reducing scar. I'm concerned about scarring and want best result. Can anyone advise the best ( less scarring) after care for Plexr mole removal ? Thanks
I had my mole cauterized 24 hours ago from the centre of my chest. I am prone to keloid scarring but chose to take that risk. The dr put an antibiotic ointment on it and covered it with a small plaster. She told me to keep it on for 48 hours and then remove it to allow a scab to form. Ater doing a lot of research, every consultant and derm on this website from all over the world have stated NOT TO LET A SCAB FORM. So do I apply Vaseline and a dressing OR let it dry straight away? Help
My moles seem to have skin over top of them already I've been washing my face 3 to 4 times a day and constantly putting neosporin and Vaseline on them. Can I wear liquid make up or concealer on them yet?
I went to a medspa and got it done by a PA everyone told me he was amazing at sutures which they do look good but my lip is so swollen I have had previous injections and wondering if the lidocaine effected or messed with my injections. I have been icing and staying elevated and taking arnica and ibuprofen. These photos are 17 hours after. The doctor keeps saying its normal but its not going down.
I had 3 moles removed yesterday by a nurse practitioner(1on my chest, 1on my arm and 1underneath my arm/on my side. She gave me a shot in each mole, and then cut them off. She said that I should NOT be feeling pain after the procedure or the next day. Also, she told me that I could shower the same day OF the procedure, and so I did and took off the bandages and cleaned my wounds with antibacterial soap, and rebandaged them. I have been feeling pain since after the procedure. Is this okay/normal?
This morning I had a mole punch biopsy. I took a picture of the stitches before they applied the bandage, and looking at it later, noticed that there are a bunch of folds on either end of the wound. It almost looks like she bunched up the skin on either side of the wound and then stitched over it. Is this a typical approach to take when closing a mole that was punched? If not, should I return and ask them to correct it?
Ive had it ever since I was a kid and finally got it taken of yesterday it was done by a plastic surgeon and he surgically cut it off and then cauterized it and stitched it with dissolvable and normal stitches just because of its location. Ive been taking Tylenol for the pain but its not really helping. I can take ibuprofen at 5pm today he told me to wait 24hrs. I just want to know if its normal to be in so much pain ??? its not unbearable but its pretty distracting
So I just had a mole on my nose removed and it has a circle bandaid over it and I was told to keep it on for the rest of the day but I want to know if its ok to shower with that bandage on because I do not want to ruin the bandage.
I had a mole removed above my lip today. The physician only said to use Vaseline and keep covered with a bandage. Is there anything else I can do to prevent a big scar. It was cut off. I seen a plastic surgeon a couple month back that said my skin heals fast and clean. He based that on some marks I already had. But I didn't remove it with him because he was charging over $700. I read a lot of comments on people using miracle skin salve. I wanted to know if that's something I can use.
I had a moderately atypical mole removed yesterday and got internal sutures and 5 on the surface. The incision is so painful! But no signs of infection. Every move I feel pulling, is this normal? The internal sutures don't dissolve for 6 months, will I feel this tugging/pain the whole time?? Please help!
