Im going to a concert 12 days after gyno surgery on one side. No lipo, just removal of the gland. my surgeon said there was no need to wear a compression vest due to the minor nature and success of the surgery. I was hoping to have a few beers (not a huge drinker anyway so no shots) and maybe a joint or two at the concert but do not want to if it will be very detrimental to my recovery. I Will have stitches removed one week after surgery wanted to ask peoples opinion before I do anything.
Can my hypertrophic scar after gynecomastia be revised to make a thinner scar that is more oriented around the areola without any issues such as dog ears or any other complications? I figure I can apply medical makeup a bit of the bottom portion where the pigment faded a tad. It has been 10 months since the operation. My other side healed perfectly. I moved my arms too much and the scar widened after the stitches were removed 4 days post op.
I just had my stitches removed yesterday and the doctor applied a strong tape which is suppose to be taken off the next day. However, when I tried to take the tape off I can clearly see that the nipple is cut up and the wounds have not closed up. Should the doctor have applied another bandage or something for a longer period? I don't want my compression vest to be rubbing against my nipple area and causing some sort of friction damage. Thank You
Hello there doctors . It's my day 13 post op and I'm uploading before and after images, I had pseudogynecomasta liposuction only. I wore the vest 24/hours all the time. Now my question is how long I have to stay till I start doing exercise and swimming, taking in consideration that I'm traveling for vacation tomorrow and I'm concern about swimming however the doctor told me I can swim but the stitches still there and it will be obviouse, and another question does my result looks good ? Thanks
Just had gyno surgery. On the left nipple one of the stitches was accidentally pulled out by the nurse She put tape over it which was removed on Day 3 and I was given pads to place over the nipple under the compression top. I noticed at Day 4 the wound was open and there was some brown discharge on the pads. That appears to of now stopped but the wound appears to be white inside. Will it close up ok on its own and will this effect the final scar? Also how long after surgery do I need to use dressings for?
So the day i went to have the stitches removed i noticed that the tape on my left nipples irritated & had a layer of greenish/yellow pus on it. So the nurse told me to put double antibiotic gel on each nipple daily & cover it up with a band aide. Nothing changed in two weeks but the nurse says keep doing what I'm doing. Today i take it off & the pus layer comes off but now there is a crater in my nipple. Kinda freaked it will heal like that and i will have a chunk missing. Any help?
I saw surgeon, about a month ago when these photos were taken he thought they make be stitches working there way out. The marks do not seem to be getting much better (3 months post op). He also said something today that if I had swelling under the nipple (which I believe I do) that it can contract and make these marks? I guess I'd like a second opinion. Could it possibly be a Montgomery gland? Any recommendations for treatment?
I just had gyno surgery (tissue removal/lipo). There are bottom incisions as expected. But one of my nipples is cut and stitched right in the center of it. Does anyone know why this may have been done, or was it an error? It is stitched and scabbing so I can't tell if it's a clear scalpel cut or a tear. I am worried what it will look like once it's healed. I have not seen the surgeon again yet. I've only seen a nurse for a general post-op but did not see this until I got home.
