I had fractionated ablative erbium combined with non ablative erbium 4.5 months ago for sun damage, sagging skin and fine lines. After four months the improvement is almost non existent. I'm 33 yo and I was told the settings were very high. Healing process was corresponding with high settings too. I don't believe it will improve from now on. All fine lines in the mouth and eye area are still there. I thought that fine lines would be erased since they're not deep. Any explanation? Thank you.
Hi Doctors, as the title says it seemed I've drawn the short straw in regards to my skin. All my conditions are early stage including redness not being too bad. My current Dermatologist wants to put me on a long term low dose of Accutane with 3 - 4 IPL sessions a year. How long can I stay on a 3 10mg pills a week and is it even possible to control my conditions and give me confidence until an older age where I care a little less about my appearance. Thank you for time.
I'm 34 years old and I have both nasolabial folds and melasma. I also have fine lines under my eyes and some faint hyperpigmentation. Would a laser resurfacing procedure get rid of all of the above? If so, which one? Or should they be treated separately? I was thinking laser because nothing I've tried for my melasma over the past 10 years has worked but I'm worried about making my melasma worse. I also have some small scars so I'm assuming a laser would treat all of my issues... right?
I'm woman 32 years old, Hispanic skin and acne scars, never overwheight but I've had a laxity and flaccidity problem on my skin years ago since young, my body's skin in general never looked firm and it has always looked saggy. At my early 20's I started to have expression lines and saggy skin overall in my cheeks, eyelids and one side dropped eyebrow. I took picture but it looks worst in person. I had treatments that didn't work, i don't know what is better for this problem:laser, RF or other?
Hello, I have acne scars and stains, but I also have rosacea. I believe that I need to get both treatments, but which one to do first? Rosacea or microdermabrasion? I'm 33 years old and trying to repair my skin. Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.
Hi, I am a 31 year old Southeast Asian Female. I have a history of keloid formation (my mother has them) and I have a small one on my chest. I recently received ablative facial laser (Lucas machine) on 1x1cm spot on my right cheek. From my perspective, the procedure was well-executed with no complications. I am very worried that it will develop into a keloid. What are the chances of keloid formation, and what can I do to minimise this?
Hello, I'm 27 weigh 153 pounds and am 5 4. I have many concernd about my face. What procedures and treatments should I receiv to restore balance and youthful glow? Also to look as feminine as possible? I have volume loss under my eyes, in my cheeks and around my chin and mouth. I have visible lines around my mouth. I have dark spots unnder my eyes and some loose skin when I smile. Also I have black heads everywhere, uneven skin tone, rough texture. Laser? Facelift? Fat transfer? Lips?
25yo f. 7.5 months ago, I received one treatment of ProFrac on my whole forehead for 1 minor acne scar (it should have never been suggested, but I was naive). 200 microns, 11% dens, no coagboard certified derm said she overlapped pulses 50%. My prior skin was incredibly smooth and forehead pores were practically invisible. Since the treatment, Ive had to deal with this orange peel texture due to puckering of the skin between each pinhole where the laser ablated tissue. These are NOT pores.
I have fine lines under both my eyes, worse on my right. I dont drink enough water admittedly which makes them look worse (trying to fix this). My skin is also dry there which probably contributes. If I get laser/radio frequency, can this essentially be reversed with long-term results? Provided I continue to use suncream etc? I feel like this has happened prematurely and Id like to reverse this until my natural ageing kicks in (at least until my 30s) I am wearing makeup in the pics.
