Hi, Im interested in doing IPL on my legs but Im concerned because Ive had a full knee replacement. Im wondering if IPL treatment will be safe for me? Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance on this matter.
White female, 54, history of tanning bed use for 20 years (no longer), post menopausal Hello. I went through menopause around 4 years ago and coincidentally, brown spots started appearing on hands, arms, legs and now top of feet. Literally legs are covered to the point of not being able to show them. I paid $600 for lower leg IPL treatment several months back with no results. Is this sun damage or could it be something else? Mastyocitosis was something someone mentioned? Thank you
I've had a few treatments of IPL for very small spider veins on the inside of each knee. The ones on my left leg are gone, but the right..although the same size..are more stubborn. The medspa put a self adhering wrap around this time, and said I could remove after 24 hours. My question is will it be beneficial to leave this on longer?
I have been using an at-home ipl for reducing hair growth on my legs for about a year. I recently read that ipl also helps with broken capillaries or spider veins. I have a few on my legs, but I haven't noticed any difference. Do the at-home devices not work for broken capillaries, or is there something I should be doing differently to target the veins? I've only been focusing on hair removal, but I go over my entire legs, so it should still help with the veins.
I've used the device in my belly, upper leg and underarms as well, but the worst reaction was on my lower legs. A day after my first treatment, my lower legs got very itchy, and with several bumps in my pores, sometimes with a kind of liquid inside. The second treatment, 2 weeks after the 1st one, it got even worst. My legs are itching way more, I have a lot of bumps, and other parts of my body (where I made the treatment), are getting the same reaction even though is not as severe as my legs.
I had many sessions of hair removal by laser and I am almost done in my legs and underarms. I will travel abroad where dermatological clinics is very expensive so I want to buy ipl laser for maintenance. I am afraid that the effect of laser will be decreased or disappear if I change type of treatment. What do you think?
My underarm had some results first - I could see hair falling down but they'd grow back. My legs first looked better. Hair would grow back slower. However now I haven't had a session for 2 months and my hair grows back very fast and it's thick and dark. Why is this happening? Should I do more sessions then? Did I waste my money? Should I try different laser hair removal treatment? I don't have any hormon problems.
