I have an Indian skin tone. My skin is vulnerable to sun damage. I have got brown and dark brown patches on my face due to acne and sun exposure. Sun damage is chronic. I am using benzoyl peroxide for acne, acne is so far under control. Now I'm seeking a treatment to remove pigmentation. How convincing it is to go for IPL treatment? Moreover, how many sessions do I have to go through to get rid of pigmentation and get an even skin tone?
Also, does this help with the papules and pustules. Is IPL for Rosacea suitable for Indian Skin. (I lie between Fitzpatrick 3-4). Also, does this help with the papules and pustules. I am currently on doxycycline but it does not seem to affect much.
Hi, I would like to buy an IPL hair removal device due to the constrictive price of professional treatments. I have done some research into devices and plan on buying a high-end on such as the Phillips Lumea or Braun SilkEffect. I am aware that these devices work well on light skin and dark hair. Although I have dark hair, my skin is not light, although it is not dark either. Please advise whether IPL machines will be effective on my skin tone.
I have since spoke to a dermatologist who has recommended fraxel restore dual is this the way to go. When I had the ipl treatment my arms were more tanned then my legs so my arms look worse. Please note treatment was done by a beautician and not a doctor which since reading up on this I now feel stupid for.
I got IPL hair removal on my legs, but my whole thigh was severly burnt. Its been 6 months now and i have brown marks all over my thigh. What do you reccommend? I have tried LED and also cutera genesis treatments but they have not helped. The place where i got it done are now suggesting i try IPL again to treat the hyperpigmentation. I am just scared as i dnt want the brown marks to get worse. I am of indian origin of olive complexion. Im desperate for some expert opinions as Im getting married.
