I want to go for an IPL for rosacea flushing, but I know people who have said that IPL made their flushing worse for a month after the treatment & broken capillaries worse. How is this possible? I also know it can treat flushing so Im confused!
I had IPL treatment on cleavage Oct 16,2015, and started to use isotretinoins Nov 11,2015. I only had 240 mg. Anyway, could isotretinoins I had 26 days later interfere with post IPL recovery and cause skin damage? My skin has since been very dry and looked bad. I wonder whether it's because I hasted with isotretinoins. Please, help
I had IPL treatment on my face for both brown and red spots. The brown spot laser was fine. The red laser has left bad marks on my skin, bright red, slightly puffy discolorations that were not there before. It's been six months and the marks are not any better. I am in despair. Is there anything that will help restore my skin? I can't leave the house without slathering on make-up.
Hi there, I was wondering if you could tell me more about how home IPL devices work in comparison to in salon ones? I have a smooth skin IPL which for about 8 months I used on my upper lip over a year ago. I'm 33 and have noticed very faint vertical upper lip lines, I think I am too young to have to the start of these and was wondering are in home IPL devices capable of causing damage like this? My understanding was that they were far less powerful but now I am unsure and concerned. Many thanks
I got 5 IPL treatments over the last 6 months to treat my rosacea and have noticed a rash-like appearance on both sides of my face since starting the treatment. It started as a faint small red mark after the 1st session and I wrote it off as nothing too serious. It eventually kept growing and increasing in size with each session and my derm kept telling me that it was my rosacea acting up and that eventually, the IPL would fix it. Is there anything I can do to help reverse the laser damage?
I have light olive Asian skin and just got my IPL treatment 1.5 days ago. No serious reactions yet, just slight flaking. My brown spots and freckles are lightening. However, I also have some acne and since i'm off the medicine during recovery, I picked at several pustules yesterday. Today, those areas are red and will scab. My question: Given I just had IPL and then picked/hurt my skin, does that put me at greater hyperpigmentation risk? If not, do u foresee any other serious consequences?
I have noticed a recent change in the texture of my skin around my mouth with more open pores and a number of deep vertical lines at the side of my mouth. had an IPL hair removal treatment 8 weeks ago (7th treatment) Could the treatment have damaged my skin? For skin care I am using a Niacinimide 10% and Zinc 1% treatment in the morning before my moisturiser for some hormonal acne and a retinoid treatment at night again before moisturiser. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks
I received IPL treatment 1 week ago and was encouraged to use a Vitamin C serum following my treatment. The serum seemed to cause contact dermatitis all over my face. Redness + clusters of small, itchy whiteheads - particularly on my chin and cheeks. After calling the plastic surgeons office they told me to use Hydrocortisone. The reaction went down within 24 hours however, I am now concerned if damage was done by this inflammatory response, to my freshly photofacial'd skin. Could this be?
Hello, I had BBL over my entire face almost 4 months ago. The dermatologist went up to my lower lash line, sideways over the inner lid and on the outside of my eyelid. I had no eyeware on. There was a lot of damage to my face and I started seeing black floaters, my vision was blurry when I tried to focus and light hurt my eyes. It became so painful I went to an eye dr who gave me steroid drops/ointment, neurontin and agreed my iris is much darker, like black marker. It keeps getting worse.
