I did this procedure just over three weeks ago. I was told by two employees/nurses during my consultation that there would be practically NO pain, NO downtime, NO side effects. The truth is I ended up living thru the absolute worst pain of my life from day 4 post procedure for 2 full weeks. I took 2 different pain killers (that I had left from my c sections), all the aleve, Tylenol, Advil I could find, ice packs, patches, emla cream, and finally the only thing that worked was the Lyrica (nerve blocker). I could not sleep from from the onset of the pain to the lyrica kicking in. I would be up in excruciating pain once the ice pack had defrosted, and had to go downstairs every hour to switch ice packs. I could not even have the bed sheet touch my belly, could not wear pants, had to wear the under garment for 12 days. The pain was a 8-9 on 10 at its worst moments. I can describe it as being stabbed continuously in the belly, at the same time as my belly being lit on fire, and broken glass being rubbed over my skin. The area was numb, swollen, and sore. I have to precise that the nurse used the large applicator on my lower belly followed by the two small ones on either sides of my obliques. The fact that: 1) there was ZERO indication that there was a even a possibility of this happening, and 2) almost zero follow up or even care, has made me irate and disgusted by the "spa" where this is performed, because there is NOTHING medical about a place like that, and ZERO PROFESSIONALISM by "doctors". I do not want to disclose because I have to move on, but let me just say this was one of the overall worst experiences of my life. Never before and never again will I come close to this kind ofaesthetic madness. Ladies and gentlemen: love yourselves, love your bodies, nurture your souls and stop the madness!!!!
