I thought it would be helpful to others if I shared my "coulda woulda shoulda" after have my breast augmentation. I had the procedure done on March 27, 2015 by Dr. Flanigan in Toledo,Ohio. I am a mother of 3 elementary aged kids. I am used to going a hundred miles an hour! The first 48 hours post-op are the most painful. After that, you start feeling less and less pain. I went off Percocet after 72 hours and onto 3 motrin every 4-6 hours. Here's where I am offering my advice. RELAX and CHILL. I made the mistake of thinking I could get up and do laundry and vacuum like I never had surgery. Big mistake! I am totally not where I should be going into week 3. I am right handed and my right breast still thinks its only a week post-op: swollen, tender, still higher then the left. My left breast is sailing thru onto week 3 like a pro. So, listen to your doctor when they tell you to rest. But actually rest! It took me a week to slow down. You are going to get tired easier and you are going to get sore easier then pre-surgery. But as a mom I am not used to sitting! So, please sit, relax, turn the reruns of the real housewives on, catch up on reading your blogs or books, don't pick up heavy things like laundry baskets. Ask for help with these things. Trust me, it will allow you to recover more quicly!
