Sculptra vs. Restylane

By Droopeye on 15 Oct 2011

Can someone please tell me why someone would choose Sculptra over Restlyne? They are both designed to be applied only in the nasolabial folds area.  Sculptra costs about 5x more than Restylane, it takes a series of 3 sessions of injections over a long period of time while Restylane is one injection.  I know Sculptra is supposed to last up to 2 years but I have had Restylane in the past and it lasted me almost 1 year.  With the cost difference, I can get Restylane 4 times for less the cost of 1 set of sessions of Sculptra. Maybe there is something I am missing.  Could someone please explain the logic here? Thanks

HI Droopeye,

It sounds like you have done a lot of research. Based on the community it seems like Sculptra might last longer. However here are reviews on Sculptra from the community and reviews on Restylane maybe it will help.

Thanks,

-Britt
