So, I'm 35 years old and have been battling weight issues for as long as I can remember. Most of my doctors have suggested getting weight loss surgery years ago but I was afraid and thought that I could lose the weight myself so here I am five years later with no pounds lost but pounds gained. I'm nervous about the surgery, it will be my first one but I just think about the what happens after the surgery. I have PCOS and suffer with infertility issues as well. My husband and I would like to have children. I'm not getting any younger so I finally decided to have the gastric sleeve surgery. The doctor said I should wait at least 18 - 24 months before getting pregnant. I never wanted to wait this long to start a family but I rather have a healthy body when I get pregnant. I'm in the beginning stages of getting surgery, I've gotten my blood work done, sleep study, endoscopy, my psych evaluation is next week as well as my nutritionist appt. I'll probably have my surgery around July/August. I'm really look forward to this change, I truly believe it will save my life. Has anyone had infertility issues before surgery and got pregnant afterwards?
