Pelleve review

By Carrie3312 on 28 Oct 2011

I couldn't find an area to review Pelleve skin tightening so i thought I'd post my review here.  Before getting the treatment I searched for reviews but couldn't find anything. I got 2 Pelleve treatments 2 weeks apart.  The proceedure wasn't painful, just very warm/hot.  When she went around my eyes with the wand it was a bit too hot several times and she had to stop.  Other than that it was bearable.  I was pink/red blotchy from the heat after each treatment.  After the 2nd treatment I did notice that my cheek area was much more plump - I could barely see the fine lines that extended from the sides of my mouth when I smile.  I was REALLY happy with that.  I didn't get much improvement around my eyes.  Maybe that was because I kept complaining about the temperature therefore I didn't get the full treatment? Who knows.  But my cheeks looked great. The results lasted about 2 months (maybe a bit less).  So for sure this proceedure is temporary - much more temporary than they claim (I was told 6-18 months).   I paid $149 for each treatment (normally $500 each which I find very hard to believe anyone would actually pay that price). I would not waste my money doing this again.

I had two treatments with the pelleve. The first seemed nice , it was hot but tolerable but the second ... I had a different tech perform services and she commented that she was going to give me a " extra special" treatment I got so hot it hurt. She did this around my eyes and now I have scaring all around my eyes . It did shrink the skin so much that it actually created wrinkling . There is a clear circle around my eyes that shows the path the tech used with the pelleve wand . It was so disappointing to have just the opposite effect happen and have new scaring and discoloration happen . I would tell anyone getting this treatment to be very careful Skin shrinking isn't allow going to shrink the way you would like.

I use Pellevé myself and have quite god results on my patients. But it takes time (weeks and months) and usually several treatments. I have never seen results before 3-4 weeks. And this is logic since the treatment is based on stimulation of own collagensynthesis which does not come over night. Considering what many pay for a spoon of facial cream without effect I do not think it is expensive at all. Compared to Thermage it is a bargain with at least as god results and no danger of burns. Compared to much more expensive laser treatment not downtime. Especially around the jaw line there is no other non invasive treatment which gives such god results. Results are best between the age of 30 to 65.

I had Pelleve done on my whole face two days ago and I didn't really see immediate results, like they claim many patients do see. Today, I'm not sure if I see any change. I feel slight 'tightening'. I'm hoping to see some results in the next couple days. I had Titan done 5 years ago, and with that I did notice a change immediately after. Maybe I should have gone with that.

I had 1 Pelleve treatment and I see no difference. None. I prepaid for 3 and am sick thinking I may have wasted my money. Will let you know.

I had Pelleva done twice around my eyes, including eyelids. Complete waste of money. No results.
