Basically, I need to lose 20 lbs by July. Nothing I've tried is working. Weight Watchers, jogging, weights. Do I need to go more hardcore with it? Any ladies on here how did you lose weight before surgery?

I lost 30 lbs in less than two months. I eat no more than a 1000 calories a day and make sure those calories are from nutrient dense foods. That means absolutely no empty calories from junk food or sugar. I also exercise regularly and take prenatal multivitamins.

Hi there, welcome!

I would suggest keeping a food/exercise journal for a minimum of a week. Log everything you eat and drink and everytime you exercise and for how long. A weeks worth of data should be enough.

Losing weight is just math. You have to use more energy than you're consuming, so you have to lose more calories than you're taking in. An average female needs 1500 calories per day to maintain their weight, so to lose weight you need to take less than this, usually between 1000 - 1200. Drink plenty of water, get lots of protein and exercise frequently.
