My hair has gradually thinned over the last few years. I just to have healthy bouncy looking hair. I've had all the medical tests and no cause identified. My hormones are ok too. I went to a couple of clinics for hair analysis and advice, which was conflicting. I was told i have not lost any hair but is just coming out as thinner strands due to miniaturised hair folicles for some reason and acourse of laser hair therapy has been advised. Prices and therapy programme vary significantly. I can not find hardly any reviews from real patients or even which laser professional machine is the best. I would like to ask if anyone has tried this? do you know what machine you used? and what your results and opinon is of this treatment?I always find this site very helpful and am looking forward to your input to help me decide. Thank you in advance

Hi Amber! I'm sorry you're going thru this, especially at your age. First, check with any & all medications you are taking. If this is not the problem, I would certainly try laser. My hairdresser told me about it. I have the one advertised on this site. I sit under it every other night for 20 minutes. I prefer this than combing a laser thru my hair for 20 minutes or going to a facility...so much easier to watch tv or read under! Cheaper, too! My laser is a 2 panel tripod that's advertised on this site. Ive had it for 3-4 years. It wont hurt you to try, but its a slow process. There's a shampoo I use that's really good...REVITA...hairdresser advised also. Best thing: Spironolactone...its used for hair loss & acne...its a godsend. Good luck & feel free to ask me anything. I've lost my hair 5 times due to medication. I'm having surgery Monday & worried about general anesthesia, but my derm thinks I'll be OK due to the Spiro. Dont give up!

Hi Lindadiann. thank you so much for taking the time to respond and advise. I was beginning to think no one would. I don't take any medications and an at home laser at £2000 has been suggested. Obviously alot of money if it doesn't work hence why i was looking for reviews before i consider investing that amount. Can you please tell me how much of a difference or hair regain this has given you and over how long? Thanks again x

It was a combo really. MY laser was just over $550, but I use it continuously. They may have some refurbished ones, too. Look on ebay & other sites. Let me know what u find. Try the Revita...its$16 but goes a long way as both stimulate the scalp by nourishing follicles and circulation. The 1st laser I bought was a homemade brush that some wonderful man put electodes on & I loved it! Pease start looking, but it will take diligence to find what u want. Ill help you, but ill be away after sunday for 2 weeks. Lindadiann

I would say 80% of LOST hair has come back. Please look into the spirolactone...its generic, cheap, & your skin will look great! Also, 2 great root lifters...Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift is the best...love Redken 22. Spray the heck at roots & hit with blow dryer...the polymers attach to ur hair & it will look twice as thick. Im happy to help u as I know how you're feeling. It takes 3-4 months to see new growth. Try the spiro first to see how it works. Let me know...I have a daughter your age!

Amber, I'm having surgery under general on Monday & I'm scared of losing half of what has comr back, but my derm thinks I'll be ok due to the spiro. We'll see in 3 months or do, but I'm really encouraging you to try it. Also, theres a cheap laser online...do not buy it...doesnt work at all. Do your homework on how many nanometers or whatever it is...keep in touch...
