Hard lump with saline implants..had ultrasound but tech could not determine if it was part of implant or not

Ive had saline implants for 9 years. Felt a rather large hard lump on right breast went for sono and tech had extremely hard time She even called in a doctor and doc said she was unable to determine at time if it was part of my implant or not. Overheard her saying to tech that what she sees appears to "split"

I pulled up this post to hear about the hard lump with the saline implant and all I seen were comments on a rash from another person. I am having the same problem with a lump, but was told by the tech and the doctor that it was part of the implant and not a tumor. For this I am thankful. I have had my saline implants for 4 years with no problem until now. I wish I knew what the lump on the implant was caused from. I have had no trauma to the left breast area and I am worried that this will not be covered by warranty or that it will rupture. Can you share more of your story MarabellB.

WELL i WENT TO MY PRIMARY CARE DR. YESTERDAY SHE SAID I HAD UNSPECFIED RASH, IT IS NOT BIG IF IT DOES NOT CLEAR UP IN 2 MORE WEEKS I HAVE TO SEE DERMATOLIGIST. SHE GAVE ME BREAST EXAM FELT NO LUMPS I HAD MY LAST MAMMOGRAM 1/18/2011 NEXT DUE 12/18/2012 I BELONG TO KAISER HAVE ONE EVERY 2 YEARS. SPECIAL MAMMOGRAMS FOR BREAST EMPLANTS. MY BREST DO NOT HURT THEY STILL LOOK BEAUTIFUL BUT SAG NOW BUT I ,AM 69 NOW. I DO NOT WANT ANY OPERATIONS, AT ALL. WHEN I FLEX I CAN FEEL MY IMPLANTS HERE AND THERE. I THINK MINE HAVE LEAKED THEY ARE REAL SOFT. BUT EVEN WHEN I HAD THEM PUT IN THEY WERE ALWAYS SO SOFT AND NATURAL FEELING. HE WAS A WONDERFUL DR. HE WAS KILLED. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ZZZTOP.

zzztop Hi there, just wanted to send out some good and calming vibrations. So glad you're seeing the doctor today - that's about the only person who can give you a definitive answer. As you probably know silicone gel implants when they are ruptured generally leak very slow and sometime a rash is a side effect of that. I read that your implants are 33 years old. Older silicone gel implants are not as durable as the newer ones. You had the good sense to reach out to your doctor and I believe you will be fine. I ,am new here zzztop . I have had silicon breast implants 33 years have never once had a problem but on right breast I have a small rash. I don,t know if they have leaked but they are now real saggy. I,am going to DR Tues. to have rash checked, my breast feel soft I,am 69 . I,am so scared When you have silicone breast implants your breast do not feel normal to you . I have always had my mammograms no problems they do them a special way. the right breast when I flex I can feel my breast implant but it is smaller now. I just know I do not want to go through any surger these implants silicone have last 33 years . and never sick.

I,AM NEW ON THIS SITE. I,AM SCARED TO DEATH I HAVE A SLIGHT RASH ON MY RIGHT BREAST. I HAVE HAS SILICONE BREAST IMPLANTS 34 YEARS. NEVER SICK, NO PROBLEMS. THEY ARE REALLY SAGGING NOW I,AM 69.
