I would be grateful to hear any opinions on how I should respond to this situation. In pre-op consults about neck lift, PS suggested lipo of neck and jaw as part of procedure. I clearly and emphatically said no each time, and I never signed anything consenting to lipo. Night before surgery I spoke to PS and said I would not go forward unless he gave me clear assurance he would do no liposuction. He assured me he would not. Well, he did it anyway. He even wrote it in the surgical report. My face and neck now very thin and I need fat grafts and revision. What should be my next step? I have spoked to my PS who admits he did it, but shrugs it off. I have also consulted other PS about revision. Second opinion PS says lipo should not have been done, and I now need fat grafts and revision. I am amazed that this happened against my wishes. My original PS is board certified and established. Can I recover money from him? I need to pay for the revision and fat grafts with another (hopefully better) PS.
