Burn Marks to forearm post laser hair removal using IPL..

Hi! I had my first laser hair removal (full arms) yesterday. The tech said she was using IPL. I'm Asian with light brown skin and dark hair. The right arm looks okay but I have these burn marks to the top of my left forearm. Now I couldn't go out because I look like grilled steak! She gave me a tube of neosporin before I left to apply to the area. I've also applied cold compress and aloe vera because I was initially feeling some burning sensation. She said the marks are temporary and should disappear within 24 hours. But they look worse than yesterday to me. Will these marks go away?! What can I apply to the area to help with the healing process? Please help...   Thanks.

Get to a Derm doctor as soon as possible. Leaving a burn without the proper treatment can cause scaring especially to those with darker ethnic skin. I had hair removal and I am half Italian I was left with some redness but nothing like what you have. Go to a doctor, if a doctor did not perform the procedure. Good Luck and I hope you heal completely

Oh my goodness, that looks very painful. :( I have posted this question in our Q&A section so that the doctors who volunteer on the site can give their opinion on this.

Wow sundae,

Those look painful. I assume based on the fact she gave you neosporin. She knew she burned you which is very much what it looks like. Based on other community members experiences, it usually goes away, but if you don't start seeing it heal up in a week I would go back to the doctor.

Thanks,

-Britt
