Can breast lifts be done under local anesthesia?

I want to have a breast lift. But I'm worried about going under general anesthesia. my breast are small and I only have minimal sag

Yes, a small breast lift can be done under local anesthesia. For more extensive lifts, the amount of local needed would be too much. It would lead to severe toxic effects. For that reason more extensive surgical procedures are done under general anesthesia.

It is possible, yes. But most plastic surgeons prefer general anesthesia. You would need to take this up with whichever board certified surgeon you choose. Here is what a few of our doctors have to say.
