Breast Lift or Lift with Implants

Breast Lift or Lift with Implants

I'm 19 years old and have always had large breasts at the age of 13 I wore a size 34G. As of recently lost around 40 pounds due to healthy eating and exercise. I have always had an issue with sagging but even more so now that I've dropped down to a 34DD. Although I'm a 34DD my breasts aren't full and are actually very small. I have a lot of excess stretched skin and not a lot of mass in my breasts. I want to have a lift but also want to obtain a look of perfection with a teardrop implant. I don't like the circular round breast implant but is that what I would need to fill my upper breast? HELP

If I were you I would do the lift no implants. I was a 36DD before surgery and my dr said I could do the lift only because I had enough tissue for it. I got a TT too ( after having 4 large babies belly she boobs were shot) I didn't waNt to deal with having to change them out one day, and having a foreign object in my body. I'm PO day 9 and the breast lift hasn't hurt at all ! And that seems to be the consensus around here lifts don't hurt ( I don't think implants hurt ppl either ) serious reductions can be uncomfortable I've read. Good luck to you!!!

I went back and forth about just a lift or lift w/implants for many months and did tons of research as well as consulted several dr's. I was told that I would need implants if I wanted "upper globes". I did not want an unnatural look and at my age, no one has upper globes. You are younger of course! BUT the way I finally decided was a dr. on the forum said if you are happy with your breast size in a bra, then implants are likley not neccessary. I ended up only getting a lift and did not lost any thing in my cup size. I had lost 100 lbs previously and had several babies prior to that so lots of sagging in my breasts! I am thrilled with the results of a lift only. My breasts look like they did when I was 20 and if I want more fullness, I wear a pushup bra!

I was a saggy DD prior to my mommy makeover and I told dr I wanted same size just a rounder shape. She did a breast lift and put mod plus implant above muscle. My old Victoria's Secret bra fits perfectly. I am so pleased. I have posted pic on my site. I am post op day 9 I think when I had pic taken. Good luck!

Hey victoria, I'm actually in the same exact position as you right now. I lost a lot of weight too, about 50 pounds in less than 1 year, and due to wearing the wrong kinds of bras in RL and during sports and also from the rapid weight loss unfortunately my boobs are still pretty large [D size-ish, small D probably] but don't have the upper-pole roundness... so they basically sit lower and sag as you complain about yours. :'( It really sucks, and I'm sorry it is happening to both of us. I feel like your breast size isn't extremely big, if lifted they would seem to a D size. So no, I don't think you're wrong there and I feel the exact same way. My boobs seem WAY larger than they actually are, they feel bigger too, because of the excessive sagging. I really, really want that tear-drop shape, as close as I can get to it. I feel like the round implant could definitely be a better idea to make the upper pole of your chest fuller. I read on this article that teardrop implants have the apparent potential to rotate. http://www.newbeauty.com/treatments/treatment/breast-implants/480-implant-shapes-and-sizes/

Thanks for posting on RealSelf! Different doctors will recommend different approaches, from a lift alone, to lift with implants. Your first step should probably be to start going on consultations and find out what your options are.

Congrats on your weight loss!
