Hello all.Just wanted to share my story because this seems to literally be the only place where this kind of reaction is even acknowledged as a truth.I'd been getting 40 units of botox in my jaw for the past 2 years to help with migraines. The last time I went in the doctor suggested maybe sticking it into my temples instead and offered to help my 11s while she was there. It was only 20 units total so I said why not?Fast forward to Day 6. I had been experiencing head pressure and minimal headaches, which I figured were just normal "body adjusting" things, BUT in the middle of work I was hit with a panic attack. Bad. I've had a long history with anxiety and just thought I was having a flare up but I no longer think this is the case.I'm on Day 10 and still having general anxiety (dizziness, vertigo, etc.) and crippling panic attacks at random. I also developed a light sensitivity that I'd never encountered before; as well as insane nausea and lack of appetite (I do have preexisting gastrointestinal problems but it had been on the mend).I AM TERRIFIED. I haven't left my house in 4 days due to the crippling anxiety. Then I made the mistake of going down the Google rabbit hole. I read about severe botox reactions where people actually DIE because their breathing muscles get paralyzed. And it can happen WEEKS after the initial injection. And now I'm genuinely scared sh*tless that it will happen to me.I do realize that the chance of this is minimal, but so was the likelihood of having a bad reaction to botox...
