Is Botox an Option for Bands Showing After Necklift?

I had a necklift with platysmaplasty 4 mos ago. I think that maybe I had too much lipo just under chin, because when my head is tilted back, very small bands show and pull, and a larger band shows and creates a dent. What is the remedy for this? Is botox on these bands an option?

A: Botox for bands showing after necklift

Botox is certainly an option to inject into the anterior platysmal bands to relax and soften them for 4-6 months.  This prevents the bands from regrowing together if they were transected at the time of the surgery.

Botox or Mini-brow Lift for a Young Person with Droopy Eyelids?

I am 22 years old. I don't think I am over-reacting but I noticed recently my eye lid is a little droopy. My eyes are proportional and I don't have vision problems. My eyelid is also visible. I also have dark skin. So, what would be the best procedure or recommendation to combat my droopy eyelids? Botox? A mini brow lift?

A: Botox vs brow lift for droopy eyelids

The picture that is presented does not show any droopy eyelids.  The upper lid is at the normal range heading across the upper iris.  You do not need a brow lift, but may want to try Botox.  You have a small amount of scleral show on the lower lids, which is sometimes normal.

Have to Blend Forehead Botox Treatment with Glabella Treatment?

Must you blend forhead botox treatment w/ glabella "frown lines" treatment ? I was thinking of only getting my forhead treated this time around...my frown lines aren't that bad. Will the botox last as long?

A: Botox for forehead and glabella

The Botox treatment can be performed on any of the three muscle groups on the forehead. It is the patient and the surgeon’s preference as to which groups of muscles are injected. The corrugator muscles are cause the scowling and the frontalis muscles is what causes the horizontal lines on the forehead from raising the eyebrows too much. Each one of those can be done independently or together with Botox and the treatment lasts approximately four to eight months depending upon the individual.
