Having a Full Tuck After a Mini Tuck, What Can I Expect? (photo)

I had requests for pictures. So I'm going to repost those and ask my question again. I had a mini tummy tuck on September 26, 2011..which I opted for. However, I am left with a lot of extra skin still. I talked with my PS about this and he suggested getting a FTT. According to him I am able to go ahead with the FTT whenever I like. If i go ahead and have this surgery will the scar be worse? Will having a full after a mini cause more scarring? my PS only uses local anesthetic..no sedation..safe?

A: Full abdominoplasty after mini tuck

You would benefit from a full tummy tuck.  There will likely be a longer scar, but the scarring shouldnt be much different from the mini.   Regarding the local anesthesia, I do not think it is a great idea.  Please see the other discussions posted.  It would be beneficial to seek a second opinion.

I Am 8wks Post-op Neck/Face Lift and Now Have Very Visible Scars in Front of my Ears, What Can I Do?

A: Treatment for facelift scars

If the scars are getting worse, there is concern for hypertrophic or even keloid scars forming.  Steroid injection, aggressive massage, or silicone sheeting may help.  Sometimes excessive tension at the skin closure can cause these types of scars, and may need to be revised at a later date.

10 Days Post Op, Still Not Able to Stand Up Straight After FTT Surgery, Why is That?

Hello, I'm 10 days post op and I was wondering should I still have difficulties with standing up straight? I unable to stand for a long period of time because getting horriable back pain if I do. IS this normal for almost 11 days post op?

A: Standing straight following tummy tuck

It is not uncommon to find it difficult to stand  10 days after a full abdominoplasty.  Back pain typically follows this sustained poor posture.  Over the next few days, this should greatly improve.  Try gentle massage to help loosen things up, but only under your MDs direction.  As for the back pain, this should improve as your posture improves.
