Thoughts About Having Cosmetic Surgery (Face Lift) at a Residency Program?

Thoughts About Having Cosmetic Surgery (Face Lift) at a Residency Program?

A: Facelift Surgery At A Residency Program

No black and white answer here. I have seen residents more artistic than practicing surgeons, but the reverse is more likely. And there is no substitute for experience in facelift surgery, which no resident has. There are programs where the attending surgeon may be supervising as many as 4 rooms at a time and others where he is in only one room. I think if you can be assured the attenting doctor is scrubbed and by your side the entire time you are in the OR, then it's probably OK. I doubt you will find that to happen however.

A: Tummy Tuck and Liposuction

Of course this is not the answer you want to hear, but it's not much different from some of the other consultants. I would not consider either liposuction or tummy tuck at your current body weight. It's not that it can't be done, it is just a waste of your funds and a wast of the surgery since the changes you want to see can't be possible at your current BMI. Your question is not uncommon, but it is our job to keep our patients safe and give them value for their money. You get neither at your current status.

Which Breast Lifting Technique Would Be Most Suitable? (photo)

I have consulted a board certified PS & am in process of scheduling the surgery. Dr. has said for perkiest look go for a full lift w/ augmentation, and for a more natural look go with a donut lift w/ augmentation. Below are photos of the look I'm after & my own breasts. I know "perky" and "natural" have different definitions depending on each person. Which lifting would bring mine to the same position and shape? I know all breasts are different, I am simply going for that "style" in the pics

A: Which Breast Lift

Thanks for the photos with your question. It really helps. If you are totally happy with your volume when supported in a nonpadded bra, you only need a lift. If you want more volume you need implants. So that is the first question you need to answer. If you choose implants then you can get a look very much like the photos with a benelli (periareolar) lift. If you do not want implants you will get your desired look with the full anchor pattern lift. Make sure your surgeon has seen your photos of the finished look you prefer.
